Become a Reduce and Reuse Institute Writer

Become a R&R Institute Writer and help us bring the conversation to the forefront!

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate group of Canadians that can help us spread the word and grow the conversation around Climate Change and how reducing our demand for materials can help our Society be better prepared for upcoming changes. By joining the Writers  Committee, you would be working alongside other like-minded and passionate individuals to organize and execute action plans to educate and excite our readers around the topic of Climate Change.

By becoming a Writer of this ever-important initiative, you would be joining our Team on a volunteer basis and can be involved as much, or as little, as you wish. Our main goal is to "get the word out" and to involve as many Ontario students as possible in this urgent conversation.

Send us an e-mail below, and join us as we take the conversation on Reducing and Reusing materials to Canadians!

You should be a Writer if...

You are passionate about the Environment

You are interested in getting Canadians involved in the conversation.

You are excited to work alongside our team in drafting ideas and writing your own pieces on how we can Reduce and Reuse materials.

This program is certainly one of those "it will be what you make it" scenarios. If you are someone that wants to be very involved, there may be a larger time commitment. If instead you just want to be involved in spreading the word, inviting fellow s tudents, or helping with events, then the time constraint really is minimal.

Question

What are the time requirements for this role?

We envision that our Writers Committee will be most helpful in us being able to reach into different groups of Canadians. A typical Writer may be asked to help with outreach, writing pieces, with giving the team their perspective or advice on planning questions, and, if interested, can even volunteer to help with organizing and leading one of our events!

Question

What about roles? What is my main responsibility?

Yes, this is a volunteer position. However, you get to work alongside passionate and like-minded individuals, organizing a large and important conversation on the most urgent issue facing our generation. We are certain the experience will expose you to incredible opportunities, change your perspective, and leave you much better placed in understanding the Climate Change conversation.
